Ever since I started Bedder Covers, I can't help but notice people driving down the road with tarps flapping in the wind. They are trying their best to cover their load, but tarps are hard to tie down, trucks don't have good anchor points, and tarps just flap any bungee cords and ropes loose. Here are some great pictures I've taken over the last year! Bedder Covers are a waterproof film that you use like plastic wrap for the back of your truck. Use it to seal up the bed and cover whatever cargo you have! It can be a load of mulch or a load of furniture - just keep wrapping it with Bedder Covers until it is sealed up. Each roll of Bedder Covers is enough to cover just about any size load in any size truck.
Did you know that most states require, by law, that every load in the back of a pickup truck be covered? Every year people are injured or killed because of roadway debris. It is such a dangerous situation that states require truck cargo is secured. Don't be the problem! Secure your load and then cover it with a Bedder Cover! #CoverYourStuff
One great thing about Bedder Covers is that you can use them on any size truck and any size load. Simply unroll, cut, and repeat. Check out these examples!
Bedder Covers come on a 2 inch roll like wrapping paper. It is an adhesive film that works like plastic wrap for those left overs. But this stuff sticks to the sides of your truck and stays put at 80 mph! There is enough material on each roll to cover just about any size truck with any size load. The easiest way to install is with two people! It is possible with just one person, especially on a smaller truck or small load, but on a big truck things can get tricky. I like to roll out as much as we'll need to cover side, lift it up and over the load, stick the Bedder Cover onto the side of the truck, then cut it with a safety slitter (so I don't accidentally get the paint). It is as easy as "unroll, cut, repeat" and just keep going until the load is covered! Make sure you leave overlap on the seams so they don't come apart. Keep in mind you want the wind flowing over the top of the seams so start from the back and move forward. We came up with "wedgies" to wedge in between the cab and the bed. These keep the Bedder Cover from lifting up and getting air underneath. Put as much Bedder Cover in that crack between your cab and bed to hold it down. Then wedge a wedgie in there to hold it in place.
Tonneau covers are great - but you can't fit a sofa or a bed under it! What do you do when you have a bigger than bed load? Use a Bedder Cover - it will fit on any size truck with any size load. Just like plastic wrap on those leftovers, just keep wrapping until it is covered. The key is to wrap it in such a way that you keep the wind flowing over it - and not under it. Just wrap smart!
My sister recently moved to Ft. Lauderdale from Jacksonville - she had the movers load up all kinds of stuff in the back of her husband's Ram truck. Then we spent a half an hour covering it with a Bedder Cover. It made the 5 hour trip down I-95 with no problems! We were trying to think up a name for our product that conveyed a couple ideas - that it covers a truck bed AND that it is better than the other options out there! My daughter came up with the name and I think it is perfect. We added "for trucks" in the logo because we don't want people thinking it is a bed sheet for bed wetters!
Like any good product, these were born out of the need for a better way to cover cargo in the bed of a truck. Tonneau covers are great, but you can't fit a sofa under them! Bedder Covers are intended for short term moves of any kind of cargo. The beauty of the design is that you can just wrap any size load and use it on any size truck. It is scale-able to whatever you have! As anyone who has used a tarp knows, they are hard to use because of the lack of attachment point, they flap like crazy, and no matter what you do it is impossible to keep your cargo dry. Bedder Covers solve the problem! They stay put at highway speeds and don't leave any residue when removed. They work! -try one today! It is the rainy season here in the south! If you are moving anything, you better be ready for the rain! Have a Bedder Cover in your truck and you'll be ready for anything. Every roll is contains enough material (40 ft) to fit any size truck and any size load. Tonneau covers are great, but you can't fit a sofa under them. Have a Bedder Cover handy! The picture below shows my brother moving a sofa 100 miles in the rain. He has a great tonneau cover, but couldn't fit a sofa under it! For this application, he left the tailgate down and just applied Bedder Cover around the whole back end. You can use Bedder Covers to fit anything!
Tarps and tonneau covers are part of a tuck owners life! You have stuff you have to carry and sometimes it is going to rain. But tarps flap in the wind, are hard to secure, and rarely keep anything dry. Tonneau covers are great once they are professionally installed. But they can not handle an irregular load - like a big sofa! Bedder Covers are designed as a one-time use cover that can be used with any size truck and any size load. Just like plastic wrap for the back of your truck - you can make it fit anything you want. Just look at the load below! Don used Bedder Covers on his extended bed truck and moved a whole apartment work of stuff!
